• Encourage continuous improvement to benefit student learning experiences.
Jason Sanders, the Director of Instructional Technology for Northwest Independent School District, highlights the district's robust digital infrastructure. The district has been utilizing a learning management system for over a decade. It has also implemented a one-to-one device policy, providing Chromebooks to students and Dell Windows laptops as well as iPads to teachers.
With the integration of Canvas as the learning management system, the district supports both secondary and elementary levels. This comprehensive digital ecosystem includes tools from both Google and Microsoft, ensuring that educators and students have access to a variety of resources that can be enhanced with Mote.
By incorporating Mote into the existing infrastructure, educators can provide voice feedback and instructions, fostering a more interactive and engaging learning environment. Mote's compatibility with Google Workspace makes it a versatile tool for educators aiming to enhance student interactions and understanding.
Peter Horner, IT Manager and Digital Learning Lead at Barton Level Six College, shares insights into their digital ecosystem. The college provides professional series Chromebooks to teachers, which are used for both in-person and remote lessons. With a mix of one-to-one devices and shared resources, the college embraces a diverse technological approach.
Google Workspace serves as a unifying platform for the college's digital tools, complemented by Mote, which enhances the delivery of voice notes and feedback in both remote and physical classrooms.
Peter emphasizes the freedom to explore new technologies, run pilot programs, and implement changes that can significantly improve student learning experiences. This forward-thinking approach not only benefits students but also prepares educators to adapt to evolving educational needs.
